Even with today’s advanced audio processing, nothing can replace the unique acoustic qualities of a well‑designed music room. The smooth, diffuse reverberation of a concert hall or the balanced response of a mixing and mastering studio cannot be recreated digitally. Problems caused by time‑delay distortions such as comb filtering, excessive reverberation time or insufficient soundproofing cannot be fixed with post‑processing.
Poor acoustic performance in audio or AV rooms often results from budget constraints or insufficient expertise during planning and construction.

- 2001 | University Mozarteum Salzburg: design and realization of the the Medialab, together with the colleagues Iwan Pasuchin and Johannes Prischl (www.medialab.moz.ac.at).
- 2006 | University Mozarteum Salzburg: design and realization of the new Medialab facility in the new Mozarteum building in Mirabellplatz.
- 2006 | University Mozarteum Salzburg: design and specifications of the new recording and mixing studios (the detail plan and building were then carried out by other companies).
- 2005-2006 | FH Salzburg: development of the new recording and mixing studio in Puch, Salzburg, in collaboration with WSDG (www.wsdg.com), including: room layout and specifications; consulting for further refinements in design and surround speaker positioning. The final detail plans and building supervision were carried out by WSDG.
- 2010 | KK Studios: planning of the studio layout (control room, live room, sound lock), room modes, reverberation time; consulting for the ongoing construction.
- 2010 | AIKON Media & Technology: acoustic consulting to improve the existing movie mixing room in Alpenstrasse (Salzburg); calculation of the current room characteristics, planning of the required acoustic treatment, supervision of the module montage and measurement of the finished room.
- 2011-2012 | AIKON Media & Technology: complete acoustic planning and design of the new postproduction film mixing facility located in Grödig (near Salzburg, AT), as well as supervising the ongoing construction and performing the final audio measurements and speaker DSP optimization.
- 2013-2014 | Orchesterhaus Salzburg: acoustic measurement and recommended acoustic improvements for the Mozarteumorchester "Orchesterhaus" in Salzburg - in collaboration with the internationally renowned studio design company WSDG (www.wsdg.com)
- 2022 | PLUS (Paris Lodron University of Salzburg): acoustic consulting, planning & design to improve the acoustic character of the Media Studio. Installation of 16 acoustic modules.

- 2025 | Kirche der siebten Tag Adventisten, Salzburg: acoustic consulting, planning & design to improve the acoustic character of the church. Installation of 60 acoustic modules.
- 2026 | Kindergarten Rosenhofstadel, Berchtesgaden: acoustic consulting, planning & design to reduce the reverb time of the Mehrzweckraum, Gruppenraum A and B. Development of custom designed acoustic modules and closets. Installation of 110 acoustic modules.
- 2026 | MonoPlus film mixing studio, Vienna: acoustic consulting, plan for the optimization of the reverberation time and frequency response of the Dolby Atmos monitoring system.
AIKON Media & Technology 2012
In 2012 we completed the new AIKON Media & Technology studios, a full‑service post‑production facility located in Grödig near Salzburg (AT).
Digital Natural Sound provided the complete acoustic planning and room design, supervised construction, and performed the final audio measurements and speaker DSP optimization.
The services included initial sketches, detailed CAD plans, 3D visualization, materialization and lighting; design of custom acoustic elements such as reflectors, absorbers and diffusors; consulting for HVAC, electrical and lighting systems; selection of acoustic doors, window systems and materials; planning and installation of the 7.1 Neumann surround speaker system; and precise acoustic measurements with DSP tuning.
The final acoustic performance is exceptional, offering a listening and viewing environment with outstanding detail, accuracy and comfort in a modern mixing space.
